In this training, you will learn how to create automated tests with Cypress. These can be tests for automatically testing a website or a REST API. During the training, the following topics will be covered: introduction to Cypress, installation of Cypress, inspecting elements with Cypress, applying commonly used functions, and creating clear reports.

The training is hands-on, and through a number of case studies, you will work with Cypress yourself.

Cypress tests are written in JavaScript/TypeScript, so some basic knowledge of programming is useful but not required.

• Introduction to the Cypress Framework:
  • Working with the Cypress client and CLI runner
  • Setting up and configuring Cypress projects
• Writing and automating tests
  • UI testing
  • Implementing web and API tests
  • Effective use of Cypress functions
  • Implementing reusable functions
  • Creating validations on elements
  • Debugging test cases
  • Applying stubs (mock data for testing purposes)
• Reporting results:
  • Integration with CI solutions (such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Generating clear reports
  • Presenting test results via a dashboard

Target Audience

This training is specifically designed for professionals who want to deepen their knowledge of automated testing with Cypress. This mainly includes testers and developers.

Some basic knowledge of programming principles is an advantage.

Format

The training is given in a group of at least 3 and at most 10 participants, ensuring the quality of the training. The instructor explains the practical applicability through real-world examples.

This interactive classroom training offers plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion of your own practical cases. Through practical exercises, you will work on various scenarios.

Participants are required to bring their own laptop with local admin rights.
